About The Retox Unit
Who we are
The Retox Unit consists of five mates from Sydney, the Blue Mountains and the Central Coast, laying down some pumping rock music. We have been together in our current form for over a decade, playing rock music in the Sydney pub rock tradition. Sometimes we actually play in pubs, but more often pop up at school fetes, furniture warehouses, footy charity nights and of course middle-age birthday parties.
Our spiritual base is in Bullaburra in the magnificent Blue Mountains west of Sydney, between Dharug and Wiradjuri country. Bullaburra means either "clear sky" or "blue sky" in the local languages. It is where we do most of our recording and rehearsing, in the wonderful Booth 13 Studios.
